We really wanted to give you a taste of how Pretty Green has become part of our lives over the past couple of years. What better way to do that than to let Sora, Hana & Oto strut their undeniably funky stuff again. I really think that this particular photo shoot is a great indication of the versatility of the PT & CT back catalogue. The guys wanted to show how their other togs mix & match so well in a multitude of different combinations. Take it away dudes...

Another quick change for Sora. Who is this? Why, it is Oto of course. It was rather difficult to get him to stand still for any length of time today, but kudos to Aiko for giving it her best shot. There he goes! Popped his fave denim jacket on for good measure too. To be more precise, it's a vintage Wrangler safari jacket!!! Picked that up in a 2nd hand shop in Yokohama when Sora was tiny. They've all worn it and it's still going strong.

Sorry for the delay in posting. After much humming and hawing we've taken the decision to close PG down for good. It's been a really hard conclusion to reach, but we've found it tough to stay afloat. We'd just like to take this opportunity to say thanks for all your support over the past couple of years. We're not downhearted, just a little more realistic perhaps. We're going to stay open until May 15th, so if anybody needs to grab anything, there's still a little time. Once again, cheers for sticking with us. Over to you Aiko...

Hi everyone.

Sorry for the gap between updates. We considered and considered about the shop and the conclusion is we are closing down.

Pretty Green sprouted from the idea that normal parents can create their own business and involve their own children at the same time. That wobbly idea went through various stages of planning over a year before eventually becoming a reality. We were delighted to talk to our customers and share our ideas about parenthood. Didn't really think about making a huge profit from it.

It is partly my fault that the business didn't run properly. I wasn't aware of marketing strategies and the financial side. I was so blind about the business I was getting in to. That made me lack confidence. Even handing my business card over to people is an awkward situation for me. Every time I introduce myself as the shop owner I had butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't be a professional nor did I really want to.

Now, I want to study in a field that I have always loved. It will be harder than having my own business, but least I will be able to build my confidence and knowledge and be free from advertising sales people, tax returns and massive accountant's bills!!
We will stay open for a further month from now. Further discounts available. If you want to buy bulk from us, please e-mail us directly.

Finally massive thanks to M.Y.S works A.K.A CHIP TRIP and Seo Co A.K.A Party Ticket, Nicole Heinzel who is a fantastic artist from Berlin and designed our website, Paul Ross who made all the practical functions possible for the website. Hope you are all well this fine windswept November morning. We've just uploaded the remaining items from our recent delivery. A couple of crackers they are too. Some PT fabbery up first with an added twist http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=165 That's right. Paper denim. You need not worry about these trousers turning to mush at the first hint of rain though. As mentioned in one of our previous postings below, PT have incorporated an ancient Japanese method of strengthening clothing. Washi weft was once all the rage in pre-industrialised Japan:although paper may seem to be a strange choice of a material to use in clothes, in fact, washi made in the traditional way far surpasses other types of paper in strength and durability. Once a protective coat of oil has been applied, the items could be used even in the rain with little worry of damage. Contemporary style and ancient craft brought together with trademark PT pezazz. Nice. The bleached-in kanji branding roughly translates as delivered fresh from the manufacturers.

Last but not least we have another knockout piece of PT versatility for you http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=166 Can be worn as a dress to knock socks off with but is equally at home when worn with leggings, jeans ore even mud caked wellies Vintage/rustic feel with an added edge.

It's been a busy old week over here at PG Mansions. We've been hard at work uploading a whole swathe of goodies. All the latest from our good friends at Party Ticket and Chip Trip and boy have they been busy little boffins too! It's been really hard to keep a lid on our excitement since our latest consignment arrived, so without further ado, let's have a look at our latest swag

Woah. That's a hard act to follow. Not to worry though. Our chums at Chip Trip are more than equal to the task and are quite happy to up the ante. Well hello again

We've started to upload the vast Chip Trip/Party Ticket delivery that arrived the other day (it somehow managed to evade the postal strike radar, yipee) We have some storming Party Ticket additions for you today. First up are these fellows http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=158 PT really push the boat out when it comes to fine tuning their lines. They are what you might call trouser experts Take the back pockets for example. They give the pants an added oomph and as for that tailored bootcut...Closer inspection also reveals some fantastic finishing touches:subtle red stitching in all the right places and trade mark PT buttons. It all adds up to a class act. PT really try and bring all that is exciting in the grown-up fashion world to the kids. That really sums up what PT are all about.

The same can be said for our other addition today http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=159 You read that right! Pigment satin!! PT are innovators when it comes to trouser production. They are renowned for using traditional ancient aizome indigo dying techniques and even incorporating washi paper into some of their products* Don't be fooled into thinking that PT are all about the past though. Far from it. In fact they aren't afraid to experiment and use cutting edge techniques in their designs as well. The addition of the above mentioned satin pigment gives these chaps a subtle lustre and added durability. The PT boffins do their utmost however, to ensure that all this trouser science does not detract from the aceness of the finished product. Phew!

The guys have been hard at work modelling our new arrivals from PT and CT. I think you'll agree that they are looking fantastic. Even Oto sat still for a couple of nanoseconds, allowing us to capture him in all his glory. There'll be an extra couple of rusks in it for him, so his efforts won't go unrewarded Enough of my nonsense! Let the show begin...



When you're rocking out, it makes sense to look good while you're doing it. To this end, Hana had a good rummage around in the Party Ticket Rock Box and found this http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=152 And what a find! New from the PT lab, this particular item goes amazingly well with both PT and CT garb. The Party Ticket boffins are aware that the boys are keen on plaid too. Sora had a delve of his own into the PT Box Of Rock and decided that this http://www.pretty-green.co.uk/product.php?id=151 was where it was at and that a hat cut from the same cloth (to be uploaded soon) would be just the job. What to wear in the trouser department though? Careful inspection of the incredible Party Ticket back catalogue unearthed the loose vintage strides you see in this shot. Keep your eyes peeled for those as they'll be up on the site this week! By the way, I know Sora looks like he's about to thump the photographer in this shot but, you needn't be concerned. He is infact, a big softie



Sora still trying to pull off the manacing look here. I think Hana's expression tells you everything you need to know about her brother's posing. As you can see, Hana has wasted no time in slipping into the latest from Chip Trip. This is hardly surprising as CT always have come up with the goods.
